Over the last two years I have had an unhealthy lifestyle that has resulted in weight gain and lack of confidence and motivation.
Upon moving to Bracebridge in September to be with my boyfriend, I have become determined to be healthy and fit to ensure a long, full and happy life together.
Since joining Muskoka Fitness in October, the staff has taught me to make time for my health and how important it is. I no longer make excuses for how I ended up over weight and unhealthy; I remind myself of the reasons I need to be healthy. I make time for the gym now.
I use to say I was to busy or do other unproductive things with my time. But now I feel like I let myself down if I don’t make it to the gym or eat improperly. I enjoy working out now and I am very proud of myself when I can resist temptations and bad habits.
I have more energy, sleep so much better and next to never find myself in a bad mood anymore now that I am in the right state of mind and on the right track to being healthy and fit. I still have a long way to go to reach my fitness and health goals, and I will continue to work hard to reach and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I would like to thank Muskoka Fitness for truly caring about my health and fitness journey. The entire staff has been so nice and helpful with teaching me new exercises and proper form, sharing fitness tips, and keeping me motivated. Thank-you for helping me become a better and healthier person.

I am so thankful how are you committed you were to be always e-mailing, calling, following up and just going that “extra” mile for me. I want to thank you for shaking up my daily routine! Participating in the Member of the Month kept me on track with my goals as I tried new things, drank more water, ate better and moved more. It was great to check my progress against the chart – as simple as it seems, writing it down definitely brings more awareness. Thanks so much

Just thought I’d share what for me is a milestone – I hit *** pounds today on the club scales. That’s the first time I’ve been under *** in a very long time and represents 26.5 pounds since the weigh-in.

Good Afternoon Muskoka Fitness,
Firstly, it [Thinner Winner] was a great experience and it has motivated me to continue coming to the gym which is the most important thing. Everyone was really warm and welcoming and I never felt intimidated that I was new to the gym. The classes have been very motivational and I always make a point of attending Lois’ classes. She is amazing and I love her way of teaching and encouraging us. She is always very gentle in her encouragement but not necessarily in her classes!
